A thousand plates, served by hand. Nobody queues, everybody eats.

Durumi is home to families who left everything behind in the northeast. Last December we fed 500 of them and ran out of chairs. This time we are bringing 1,000 plates of jollof, chicken and zobo, and 600 food packs of rice, beans, garri and oil.

Nobody queues. We set long tables, serve every plate by hand and sit down together. The children usually take over the zobo station by 2pm.
